001: Dogs at Play

I painted this digitally using a photograph and artrage.  I was pretty pleased with the result as it was painted from a rather grainy photograph that I took at 1600 iso (lots of grainy noise).  Anyway, it’s made me want to open up my etsy shop again and see what kinds of prints of some of these types I could sell.  I’m going to put a few things up first, then I’ll make an official announcement sometime next in the next few months hopefully.  I think I am going to do a set of 100 paintings of my dogs first individually and together in different poses and environments.  One a day sounds reasonable for now.

This is exactly why I am so bad about deleting the crap shots from my hard drive. I see their potential! This is neat, by the way. I like the long “brushstrokes”.

Hey, send me a picture of one of your dogs. I am having a lot of fun doing these. I already have tomorrow’s done and have been looking for good photo opportunities for a Christmas day image already.
