Identity Crisis
I changed a few things around the site yet again. The theme. The description of the site. The focus. It the same person writing here. It’s just that I am trying to get a bit more focused in my approach. Please pardon the identity crisis that seems to happen around here often. It should be coming to a focal point in the near future. Having a little guy around seems to bring an element of focus to your life, (at least for me).
Why we don’t relate well.
Have you ever heard a pastor who just didn’t connect with the people who were listening? Maybe too wrapped up in himself to really be able to preach effectively. I have. You hear it often today. “You have to meet people where they are” It’s the mantra of today’s churches. Often though, things go a little crazy when you actually have to practice that. Standing in front of a crowd of people and being vulnerable, relatable, and open is hard. A friend of mine calls this being “naked“. I’ve been helping him out with his blog and rereading a lot of his comics so this comic pulled a little of his style.
Abstract Tuesday has begun.
I am still recuperating from the Arkansas trip. Unpacking, cleaning house, etc so I haven’t had much time to draw much. I found a few more pages from my sketchbook of some of the swirls I do digitally. I thought I would share a few more pages. Next week, I hope to have a new abstract peice finished in full. I visited a gallery on my trip that showed me a few things that I want to try myself.
Tornado Date Night
