I posted a digital painting/photograph combination I did earlier today as the first in my dog series. Kimberly stopped by to comment, so I asked her to send me a pic of her dogs to try this with. She did, and here is the result. It was funny though that in the original image there was a cell phone that the larger dog is laying on.
I am doing these images over top of an image digitally (using different layers) and working with the image by hand using a wacom tablet. Still the result usually looks pretty good for a quick render.
I *love* how this came out! There’s no cellphone in the original. Our dogs don’t have opposable thumbs, plus the voice recognition doesn’t work well for them. They tried calling Pet Supplies Plus and we ended up with five firetrucks lined up at our house. It’s her tags.
had to go back and look at the original, it’s amazing that sometimes when you see little details out of proportion to the rest of the image, tags can look like cell phones. It would have had to have been a really tiny cell phone!
