Made for Another World

“If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.” ~C.S. Lewis

As Becca and I have decided to begin writing on this blog once more on a full-time basis, I think it is only appropriate to quote C.S. Lewis in explaining the direction that this site will take.

Rebecca and I have a lot of interests. She loves nature, I draw and paint. We both take lots of photos (when our camera isn’t broke like it is now), and we are passionate about our relationship with God. This is the element that all of it boils down to for us.

In our relationship with God and with each other, we find the beauty that God has placed around us in nature, being voiced in music, calling out from the words of our favorite authors, and in the love that we share. None of these experiences can be complete without God in our lives.

While that is the case, decloned is more about a lifestyle of difference. A design for our lives that comes back to why man was created in the first place. To be in fellowship with God with our lives. So we won’t post Biblical Theological studies on the archaic languages and original word studies, well… because it’s not all us anyway. We’d rather our lives be the voice for that element, and we can get busy with living life the way God intended us to live it. With joy.

So, here you will find our photography, thoughts, silly stories and ultimately…. us. As we are, and hopefully encounter the one who gives us the joy we experience daily in His presence.

The State of Change

Change is hard.  We all know it.  We get tied into a persona, a name, an idea and we one day find that it's not us anymore.  A friend of mine is contemplating changing his domain name.  His old domain
